Ricardo
Ricardo founded Sunlight in 2017 with the aim of creating a school that combines a serious commitment to learning with lively lessons and the enjoyment of studying a language. Starting in a small room, he grew the project into four schools in Barcelona and Valencia and continues to teach Spanish. He writes books and teaching materials, is a DELE examiner, and leads teacher training courses. He has worked with publishers PONS and SM Ediciones and trained over 200 teachers. His interest in education extends beyond the classroom: he creates videos and podcasts and develops a project for learning Spanish through music. With students and in his projects alike, his goal is to make Spanish clear, accessible, and engaging.

Natalia leads marketing and the school's administration department, combining school promotion with the organization of everyday operations. After earning two marketing qualifications in Moscow, she built her career in education. At Sunlight, she worked across several departments before becoming co-director, so she knows the school from within and draws on her own professional experience in her leadership role. Determined and ready to take on challenges, she finds personal meaning in her work through her interest in languages and Spanish culture. Kevin studied Hispanic Philology in Rome, Seville, and Madrid before specializing in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE). He helps students from different countries learn Spanish and communicate with greater confidence while sharing the richness of Spanish culture. As coordinator, he works closely with the teaching team, supporting his colleagues in their work and students in their learning. Together, they aim to create a welcoming atmosphere where students feel comfortable learning and joining conversations. Daniel has been creating websites since 2005 and ran his own web design studio before moving to Spain. At the school, he is responsible for website development and maintenance: updating information, adding content, reviewing visitor statistics, and working on optimization. He also provides technical support for computers, software, and equipment at both schools. His connection to SUNLIGHT is personal, too: before joining the team, he spent a year studying Spanish here. After more than twenty years working in the administration of a language school, her love of Spanish and the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries inspired her to become a teacher. What she particularly values about teaching is connecting with her students: she enjoys sharing her knowledge and learning from the people who come to her classes. She helps them find the right words to express their thoughts, both in everyday conversations and in professional settings. In her free time, Ivon enjoys traveling, running, swimming, and reading.

Merce graduated in History before continuing her education in literature and screenwriting. She holds two master's degrees: one in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature, and another in Screenwriting for Film and Television. Alongside her academic studies and involvement in various creative projects, she spent ten years teaching humanities subjects and languages. She initially worked with students in individual lessons before moving on to teaching in schools. Over time, among the different areas of teaching, she discovered what she was most passionate about: teaching Spanish and Catalan as foreign languages.
