- Main information about the course
Before starting a training course, students must take a level test at the reception, to determine the student’s language proficiency. Academic advisors have developed special programs for extensive and intensive courses. Students can choose any available program or combine several programs simultaneously, depending on the individual needs of each student. Based on the results of the level tests, students will be placed in a relevant group applicable to their level: beginner, intermediate or advanced, in accordance with the requirements of the European Union educational standards. For this, the school uses appropriate educational materials. The objective of all the courses is to train students with the necessary skills and knowledge to face any linguistic situation and adequately develop the four language skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening.
To level up, students are required to take a level test.
The cost of the student’s first book is included in the registration fee, as much as the cost of the first book of each level that the student reaches. Students must acquire the necessary materials for the course once they have passed the level test.
The minimum number of students per class is seven, and the maximum is ten. The school will select duly qualified teachers and has the right to replace them at any time in the educational process; the student cannot appeal this decision. When one of the teachers terminates the employment contract with the School, the latter undertakes to find a substitute, and the student cannot unilaterally cancel or challenge this circumstance.
The opening hours of the school are from 9:00 to 14:00 and from 15:00 to 21:00.
The opening hours of the reception are from 9:00 to 14:00 and from 15:00 to 19:00.
There are no classes on weekends or holidays. The school does not recover classes that coincide with national or regional holidays. The month of August the school will remain closed for the holidays, and the classes of this month will not be recovered.
The student will receive a certificate at the end of the training if their attendance is at least 70% of the total hours. Those who meet this condition along with successful course completion are entitled to the Course Completion Certificate.
Classes that the student misses due to circumstances beyond the school’s control will not be refunded and will not entitle the student to request a refund. The absence in the classroom or the refusal to complete the course will not be a cause to claim a refund of the amount of the course.
The center has a private insurance that covers any incident during classes and activities proposed by the center (if you have any questions, you can ask them at our reception).
- Withdrawals and cancellation of courses
If the group is equal to or less than 5 people, the center reserves the right to close it and offer the students another group at the same time or, if this is not possible, to offer them another time. In the event that they cannot be offered one, you have the option of waiting until you can offer them a group of their level.
The student will only be able to enjoy their classes during the contracted period of time reflected in their enrollment, not being able to request the amount of time contracted once the contract period has ended.
If the student cancels the reservation after SUNLIGHT has provided all the documentation for the purpose of obtaining the visa, SUNLIGHT will accept the cancellation of the course only in the case of the visa refusal, it must be demonstrated by contributing to SUNLIGHT the original of the visa refusal letter from the Consulate of Spain.
In the case of the visa denial, the lawyers have to appeal, and in the case of the denial of the appeal, SUNLIGHT undertakes to refund the student the full amount of the program, except 15% of the tuition.
If the student cancels the course for other reasons, except due to the refusal of the visa (force majeure circumstances), SUNLIGHT decides to what extent the arguments are reasonable and can but is NOT obliged to return the amount of the program minus the amount of the registration.
